They work just fine, why would you think otherwise?

Faultless and protect the car directly behind and sides also. I can comfortably reverse to withinin a few inches of anything. You need them tho' because rear vision is prohibited. Wing mirrors are huge, excellent but catch the wind at speed :-)

It's an Acenta.

"Rear vision is prohibited'....?

I know it's restricted enough on the Qashqai - one reason why it was never on my shortlist last time - but prohibited seems a little drastic!

I have this wonderful vision of a totalitarian state where reversing is illegal......

Thanks Halmer that is what I wanted to know.

About to get a QQ and was worried for SHMBO the poor rear view visability on what seems an excellent car for me.

My son and his family are over here at the moment with a hire QQ. Don't buy the 1600 2WD version - it is hugely underpowered and/or overbodied. It's a nasty combination of overdone but tinny.

The reversing sensors seem to work well but they have to - you can't see a darn thing in it, even the B pillars get in the way if you are tall. The mirrors are big but they don't fold automatically both in and out - it's one or the other. Maybe it's a fault of that particular 6-month-old car.

It seems like a remarkably pointless motor to me, but that's just a personal opinion.
