Quahqai - Things don't add up???? - Dwight Van Driver

Actively engaged in chasing after a 2008 model QQ at a reputable (?) car outlet that was first registered 13th March 2008.

They state no RFL in force.

DVLA record says date of liability re tax is 1.1.2011.

From the above I come up with something that is amiss. Am I wrong?

Dealers generally cash the RFL in when a car comes in. I guess the database is slightly out of date.

Come on guys work it out.

There is some 3 months missing somewhere.

Do Garages register a vehicle then take a Licence out later?

Or, has it been in suspense in a workshop for major repairs?

Pre-reg sounds likely. My car was registered last September, but I bought it in February (with 20 miles on the clock) and so that is when it was first taxed.
