1995 citroen xantia 1.8 16v - ride hight - kiro

hi i am from Macedonia and over here there are no good mechanics, i have a xantia and the problem is the ride hight its low in normal position i changed all the spheres and its the same the front is ok but the back is hard so my question is what shoud the right position be from the tyres front and back beacuse the mechanic doesnt now and cant find the right position eather is low or very high thanks

You will probably find that either the height correctors are sticking in which case several applications of WD40 over several days should unstick them, or the plastic links which couple the correctors have broken.

Problem could be a lack of gas if it is riding low or the suspension is hard.

I dont know how to do it but Ive been told it is easy to do with the right tools.

Gas pressure will make no difference to the ride height, it will make it ride hard though.

To check the suspension height, look at the front driveshafts, they should be near enough level, parallel to the road. The rear suspension arms should also be near enough parallel to the road.
