Red&red - blue&blue - red&blue or blue&red? - oilrag

You can choose your own combination of course - if you are detemined enough - although most newer cars have the red stuff as antifreeze so you can only have red&blue - or red&red....

Does red&red (or blue&blue) make you sweat though....

What if `someone else` opens the bonnet and puts wrong red into right red - or wrong blue into right blue?

Wot then?

Are they bothered about colours at all?

No doubt someone with the "knowledge" will come on shortly, Oily, but from an article in one of the Classic Car mags i understand that they are different in some way... all that I know is that when the time comes I'll have to read up the article again to make sure I put the correct stuff in the Princess!!

Sorry to be so vague B308.

i was thinking of screen wash and antifreeze and `others` who may go into the engine bay and just put - blue with blue - for example.

I`ve been told it`s illogical to have two fluids the same colour ;-)

well you were nearer than me b308!! - I thought he was on about light-bars on the top of Emergency vehicles at first! and was going to "stir things up" by saying he`d missed green and amber!

Right, got it now:

The red Girling Crimson goes in the brake fluid reservoir,

the green Duckhams 20/50 goes in the engine oil filler

the blue Bluecol goes in the radiator

the purple meths goes in the screen washer bottle

the red ATF fluid goes in the steering pump reservoir

and the drop of golden 3 in 1 goes in the carburettor dashpot.
