Ahem...

Oh! little strips of rubber, supposed to stop you feeling sick
I saw you today, on the tail-end of a Black Honda Civic
A vanilla 03 plate, I seem to recall,
I saw you on the M74, just south of Larkhall
and Oh! thought I to myself- well, it must be 20 year
since last I saw a car after-marketed with such gear

'Twas a journey of revelations not easily spanned by man
for listening to "Koeeoaddi There" by the Incredible String Band
I noted that it sounded right familiar, might it even be?- oh hell!
Its only "the Stars of Track and Field" by messrs Sebastian and Belle.

(Thats McGonagall on the phone, can he have his scans back?)

When the weather got cold, they'd go rock hard and transmit the sound of them dragging over the tarmac.

I found they didn't stop car sickness or static electric shock.

I wonder how many people scrape the mounting down to bare metal, or attach them to a plastic bumper?

Don't forget there was the De-Luxe model that had a reflector on it, We did cut one in half one day and there wasn't any metal in it and even if there had been it wouldn't have made contact with the mounting clip/bracket thing that came with it as that just clamped the outer rubber to whatever bit of the car you fixed it to.

Oddly, some rubber does. If you work with volatile fluids, flammables or explosives then shoe soles of that material is "de rigeur".

I understand there's enough carbon in rubber tyres to conduct a lightning strike on a car.
