Anyone seen this? www.ds3.citroen.com/uk/#/unique/?campaignid=ds3-em...1

There are some quite good pictures on there, and some with unintentionally (I hope) hilarious captions under them. Worth a look, and maybe worth entering if you're a photographist. I did like the picture of the 2CV in the snow, and may be inspired to enter if only to get a free car for a year!

All that link does is take me to www.ds3.citroen.com/uk/

and then I'm just presented with the words "Citroën DS3 Découvrez Citroën DS3" on the screen.

I got the competition details and a 'take part' link, but clicking on that just gives me a spinning loading indication type thing which doesn't go away... :(

EDIT: non-loading page is www.ds3.citroen.com/uk/#/unique/teaser/

This is the full link off my browser. Apologies if it doesn't work... feel free to remove message or whatever!

It's just one of those sites that always starts you at the homepage, Click on the *button* at the bottom middle of screen that says Drive a new DS3 for a year. It takes about 15sec for me with the roundy thing before the comp page loads.

Not that easy to navigate and didn't really draw me in to be honest.... what's the interest in looking at the usual stupid facebook poses/images and how do they in any way relate to the car?
Competition - stevied
It is a photograph competition: you load up an image that expresses a unique moment in time and people vote for the best one. The one with the most votes wins a car for a year. Yes it's a bit cheesy, but there are some good ones on there.... if you take the time to read what I actually write, you will see I commented on a pic of a 2CV in the snow, and also commented that there are some unintentionally hilarious captions underneath.

I am sorry if the "roundy" thing took a long time to load, it's quick on my server....

Please lighten up. It was supposed to be a mildy entertaining link for people that like photography and vaguely amusing captions. Lump of coal - diamond springs to mind for any Ferris Bueller fans out there.

Stevie - I was looking forward to seeing the photos. Can you post a link to the facebook page?
Competition - stevied
You have mail! : )

Sent you the actual e-mail I got from Citroen, should be easier for you to navigate. There's a Facebook link in there, I got a scare when it used my Facebook profile pic as part of the video it creates, that's technology for you... as it was doppelgaenger week on Facebook I am using a pic of Steve McDonald. Welcome to my world.

Thanks stevie - the Citroen email takes me to the same page as the link you posted, where clicking on 'take part' still fails. However, I eventually spotted the (smaller) 'access the gallery and vote' link, which does work so I can now see the photos:

I guess this is the 2CV picture you mentioned in your original post:

I am no IT person, can you tell? : ) Don't know why that link doesn't work though, but at least you got through the back door, so to speak.

Yes, that's the 2CV picture, it's good isn't it? I like it, anyway. I am a bit of an amercher photographerist myself, hence the interest...

Indeed - we were in northern Finland last weekend for my wife's 50th, but fortunately we weren't driven in anything older than a mk1 Espace!

Pretty old though... 1985? Ish?

Where in northern Finland? Always wanted to go, I have done Norway but nowhere in the rest of Scandi-land.

Well I say mk1 - perhaps not quite that old, although it was pretty angular so definitely not recent.

Wife has wanted to see the Northern Lights for a while now, and fancied sleeping in a snow/ice hotel, so this seemed ideal. Of course the Lights didn't show the 3 nights we were there, and the snow igloo looked distinctly uncomfortable (who'd have thought) so we upgraded to a glass igloo, but had a great time nonetheless. Drove a husky sledge one day, took a ride in a reindeer sledge the next, and ate lots of excellent salmon soup. Very expensive for 2 full days, but wife enjoyed it so good value :-)

That looks really good..... I will forward to my other half and hope she takes the hint!
