I drove form aldershot to southampton last night and then driving back home engine management light came on, I didnt notice any change in the car other than the light coming on, I know it could be a number of things wrong, but what should be the first things to check??

as my earlier posts says engine warning light is on, so I'm looking at buying a code reader, but I need to know if my car is OBD2, it has the 16 pin connector but I have also read that OBD2 compatible is on diesels from 2004 onwards and like i said mine has the 16 pin, so now im unsure is it is compatible or not

Engine check light is on, so ordered a code reader, got one that works for saabs but its an opel one, anyway had to put the code reader on as a vectra and it came up with the code PO234-5B it said pressure control unit circuit positive deviation, but when you google that code it comes up with Diesel Particulate Filter clog.
Any ideas on what it could actually be and hen what to check to help fix problem?
It did also come up with a few other codes B3055-00 Transpobder key problem and then 3 unknown codes B3935-00 B3902-70 CO547-04

These engines are notorious for splits in the vacuum pipes.
Have a good check of all the thin pipes especially at the joins for damage and replace as necessary.
