96 Endura 1.3 - Cooling system problem - mandoman
hi i have a 1996 fiesta endura e 1.3 engine the temperature gauge doesnt work neither does the heater {blows cold not hot} and the fan doesnt switch on anyone any clues as to a source of the problem or any ideas as to what is wrong would be greatly appreciated

Sounds like the thermostat is stuck open - hence the engine isn't warming up.

thanks sid also noted when i ran the engine for a while yesterday that after a short while that pressure/ steam was coming out of the expansion tank does this also fit in with your`e diagnosis

mine is the same it could be the temp sender/sensor i changed the thermostat on mine and its still the same,so im going to change the sender
