Toyota recall - check your VIN - Auristocrat
Toyota now have a system on their website where you can enter your contact details and the VIN of your car, to register your car's details to enable them to check whether it is affected by the accelerator pedal recall - go to www.toyota.co.uk/recall/index.html

The link didn't work for me, but if it doesn't for you either, go to Toyota's main website and there's an item on this where you can enter details etc.

The link should work now. They generally don't work on this forum if you highlight them with ' or " right at the end of the link as it also treats the ' or " chractacter as part of the url. If you must use those characters, then remember to put a space at the end before using it. This also applies if you end a url link with a full stop - that will stop the link from working too.

Incorrect way:- 'http://www.toyota.co.uk/recall/index.html'

Correct way:- www.toyota.co.uk/recall/index.html
or
' www.toyota.co.uk/recall/index.html '
or
" www.toyota.co.uk/recall/index.html "

Had an e-mail from Toyota today. They have updated their recall website now, enabling owners to input their VIN and search to see whether the vehicles is affected. If it is, you can input further details, select which Toyota Centre to use for the recall work and send the webpage to Toyota.

Thank you, a very helpful link. I checked the toyota website the other day and this has been added since. Fortunately our 59 reg Yaris is not affected, nor for that matter the 53 reg one we also own.

Toyota recall - Auristocrat
My October 2009 Auris is - built in September 09. I have been able to choose which Toyota Centre to use - presume they will be in touch shortly.
