Browser Java Threat [Read Only] - Happy Blue!
Just opened up HJ site on two different computers using IE. AVG immediately flashed up a Java virus threat. No hint of it on Chrome or Firefox?

Yes I just had the same thing! Just sent a report off to AVG about it! Not the first time on here.

Espada - I've been alerted to the problem by e-mail and passed it on to the relevant person. No hint on Firefox/MacBook Pro - can you report it via the magic button.

Morning! I use Google Chrome to browse the BR as it doesn't seem to work properly in IE. When I first logged on, a warning page popped up telling me that there was a security risk to do with malware.

Anyway, I've used the magic button - just thought I'd warm Chrome users. Though if they're reading this they've probably already seen the warning...

This got picked up by my iMac and I also tried on XP and anti-virus also picked it up. Details were emailed to all concerned including HJ. So those that need to know are aware of this potential problem and are already checking things out and have removed the potential risk - ads have been temporarily turned off.

I will lock this thread as it's being dealt with and should no longer be a potential issue.

Thanks for reporting it in the various ways that you did - it is being fixed, it was a non-HJ site related issue/problem !
