2007 1.4 heater not working - jacamda
Just bought 2nd hand 207,1.4 diesel first registered May 2007. The heater does not work, only cold air. When re-circulation unit is on there is a slight heat. Have removed pollen filters to see if that made a differnece, but no luck. Any idea what it might be and how to resolve? Thanks

1)valve on 2x pipe (in and out) that enters car from engine - valve can stick. One pipe may be hot, the other cold.
2)Thermostat -water does not heat- stuck open!

Thanks Falkirk Bairn for the reply, but surely if the thermostat (2) was stuck open the engine would overheat? Done journeys of 50+ miles - no problem with engine temp.
1) Is it an auto valve on the pipe in/out? If its not can't think why anyone would close it? What do you think? Thanks again

Valve gets stuck or the cable that adjusts flowrate may be faulty.
A few years back my 2001 Honda had that issue - cable jumped off the rotary switch!

Other way around. If the stat was stuck in the open position, the car would not get up to full operating termperature....
