beauty........
i told someone off for throwing a bucket full of water onto the windscreen of a car this week,i really dont think thin bonded laminated screens can take this kind of treatment like the old windows of yore could

... no doubt adding that it wouldn't have been so bad if they had held onto the bucket...

Then going through heavy rain at speed on the motorway could prove somewhat of a problem?
The old toughened glass windscreens were much inferior and just one small stone thrown up by a vehicle in front could leave one in thousands of small pieces.
I know because it happened to me...:-)

Thanks ifithelps.
I'm not sure if links to youtube are allowed so made it a cut and paste thing.

Oh, I hadn't thought about that.
I know anything X-rated should be non-clickable, as should links to The Times, which is regarded as a competitor to the Telegraph.

Stop worrying about it - it's no problem...

Quite efficient rinse of the car though! Washed away quite a bit on the car - including the car.

Oh? Has the rule about links to the Times changed then? It has not been updated here:
www.honestjohn.co.uk/forum/post/index.htm?f=2&t=33...4
"Clarification of why links to The Times aren't allowed.
The Times is a competitor to The Telegraph, and The Telegraph is the foundation stone of this website. You may make reference to The Times/Sunday Times as in "there was this article mentioned in The Times", for example, but do not post the link - whether it's clickable or not, nor by using url shrink tools such as tinyurl or snipurl.

Pugugly was referring to this thread with a link to YouTube and not references to the Times. Thanks jbif for reminding members about links to the Times though.
