Just being stupid but what is the tax band for an '04 reg BMW 330Ci please? I could not find anything on the net as I do not know the emissions. I presume it must be Band L @ £405 pa. can anyone confirm this please. Thank you.

If you know the vehicle registration, then goto www.taxdisc.direct.gov.uk/EvlPortalApp/ , click on "vehicle enquiry" and fill in the relevant boxes.

I have a 53 plate 330Ci so can tell you that emissions are 218 g/km and VED band K currently £215 from April £245.

Emissions on the '04 are now 229g/Km...tax expires end March 2010 so if Ibuy it i shall have to pay £245 as Marc4Six quite rightly says...I thought it was going to be £405 but that is for cars registered after 23/3/06 so not too bad.

Trouble is LL, can we trust some jumped up politician not to give the higher banded cars the extra kicking they promised before, who knows after the next election where we might be.
My lads in a similar quandry at the moment trying to second guess what might happen.

I looked at the car last weekend, and have just made a very reasonable offer to the owner. I am rapidly reaching the age..correction, have reached the age, where I do not want regrets later in life. The last 6 cyl BMW I owned was my ex MILs 15 years ago, and this one is far better! Hey ho.
