"a parent complained that her daughter had refused to wear a seatbelt because Peppa did not"
It hasn't occurred to said parent to point out that P.Pig is a cartoon and unlikely to be damaged in an accident, I suppose? Someone help us if she ever gets to see Tom and Jerry...

The PP cartoons are very influential in the lives of 2/3 year olds.
My eldest granddaughter was very much into Pink & Peppa - she learned a lot, helped her vocabulary and understanding of various scenarios...............excellent program from that point of view.
Seat belts- never an issue with her but with some kids it might be.

Peppa Pig is great. I watch it every day in English and Polish.
Noddy on the other hand... well, he can drive a car and pilot a light aircraft, but he can't count to ten or tie his own shoe laces.
He is the town taxi driver, yet his car of choice is a two seater soft top so when he has more than one passenger, they have to ride in the boot.
And what can I say about PC Plod, the copper who will throw you straight into the nick for "walking too slowly" in one episode, and "crowing too loudly", the cockerels in another episode. Talk about over zealous. There are only two criminals in town, Sly and Gobbo, yet it always takes him the entire episode to figure it out who done it.
I know it's aimed at kids but it does get my gander up.

There were other unsavoury characters in earlier Noddy books, but I daren't even name them now!
His horn used to go 'poop' 'poop' also.

I'm going to make a complaint that there is no evidence to show he has had a CRB check or is driving a correctly licenced vehicle. This could encourage children to get into any old car driven by strange people with bells on their head.
And who's going to break it to the kids that skittles can't speak.........

I watch it when I am doing the housework. I watch it in English and polish.

"I watch it in English and polish"
I was going to ask what the difference was, and then I realised what you meant. I get there in the end...

It wasn't the best joke ever was it? I enjoyed it though.

Where do you see it in Polish? It'd probably be useful to me to help my pigeon Polish.

Big Bad Dave lives in Poland... so I assume he watches it in Poland.

What next? Daddy Pig will presumably have to fill out a written risk assesment before climbing a tree to retrieve a kite.
We're doooomed a tell ye.
