Michelin pump / complain or chuck it in the bin - Carl2

For a couple of years I have kept a Michelin double barrel pump in the boot. When using it the gauge snapped off and broke. Now that I,ve looked at it I can see this was always going to happen because a cross bar is fixed in a position that makes contact with the gauge for the last inch of its travel. I chucked the gauge and refixed the hose with the hole plugged before I noticed the problem. I don,t have a receipt and although I,ve owned this pump for a couple of years it has only been used a few times (use a little compressor usually). I don,t expect a refund but is it worth mentioning it to michelin (it was obviously manufactured like this) or shall I just sling it?
