I suppose if you are going to do it, you might as well do it properly.

The worst? ..........not really

The worst drink drivers are those who manage to kill people. Fortunately this ***** didn't do that

Boy they can put it away, those Poles.

many people would be dead with that lot in them......his tolerance for alcohol must be immense, either that or his liver is just about to call it quits

Many people are all wibbly wobbly when they blow 80 odd. 120 is a right good skinful. 190 is virtually unbelievable.

I once went to a wedding where the groom was Scottish and the bride Russian. I know this guy is Polish but in time honoured British manner I'll decide that he's close enough. Similar accent anyway !

The tables at the reception had wine of course but for every two people there was also a bottle of very good vodka. The Russians drank it as fast as the Scots polished off the wine ! Then someone in a kilt foolishly decided that if the Ruskies could hack it on vodka then the Scots should be able to keep up up on whisky. It all got very messy after that I vaguely recall.....

If my 'rithmetic is right, this guy's breath sample was the equivalent of almost 440mg/100ml of blood.

Death tends to happen at around 500-600mg/100ml through respiratory depression.

Heavily habituated drinkers have been known to tolerate higher levels.

This chap was rather tipsy.

Highest readings I remember were a 306 on Blood (limit 80) and around 140 on breath. Years apart.

I recall from reading the Guiness Book of Records maybe 20 yrs ago that the highest recorded blood alcohol level ever was from a 'bag lady' in an American A&E - 1400mg/100ml.

Wow he beat one of my neighbours to it (who is also mentioned in that article).

I've had 7 pints of strong larger tonight (5% volume) and that is from 7:30 to 1:30 and the last thing I would dream of doing it is getting behind the wheel. I just do not understand people who can have 15 pints and some not end up in hospital and then drive.

I've had 7 pints of strong *larger* tonight (5% volume) and that is from 7:30
to 1:30

Suppose that explains the spelling...

(Incidentally since when is 5% strong? Thats the ordinary stuff in Belgium, Germany and the Czech Republic... even the Grimbergen I had last night was 6.5%)

I attended an inquest for a man who was about seven times the legal limit.

Nothing to do with driving, he had drunk himself to death in his flat, but the pathologist usually gives the driving equivalent to put the figures in context.
