I've been told that I cannot buy anti freeze for my wife's Punto from Halfords etc and I need to go to a main dealer to buy the red stuff.

Is this correct please?

You can buy the correct antifreeze from Halfords. It is called "Halfords advanced antifreeze" which is the OAT red stuff, which you should not mix with the blue stuff.

I've been using Halfords ready mixed pink antifreeze in my modern Vauxhalls for years.
