I love the MB SL & CL as well as my S class, and Range Rover Sport, 911, some Ferraris and and several other cars, but looking at this car again - even i may get one if i'm lucky!

The soft top XJS is drop-dead-beautiful, but I would miss the flying buttresses if I had one.
Has to be the coupe for me, although would be better to have both.
|
Had a go in a TWR XJS once Dave. Very late at night with the owners daughter in the passenger seat. Fast.

I've said it many times Humph, the XJS is the car to have if you want action in the "sporran" area
|
As in emptying it to pay for the petrol ? :-)
|
Actually, as I recall anyway it was a bit of a Scotsmans night out, the petrol, the car and the daughter came free for the evening. Well, I say free, I think I had to stump for a chinese take away and a couple of bottles of Blue Nun but all told....

Seen better looking Skodas.

Don't do a lot for me either, I'd rather have Sir Humph's QQ.

Have you let the cat out of the bag? Do I need to keep an eye on the New Year Honours List?

No it isn't but this is one of the prettiest coupe's of the last 20 years in my humble
www.netcarshow.com/mercedes-benz/2003-cl55_amg/
sadly even though it's aluminium bodied it suffers corrosion issues (unusual with MB.;), i know because we nearly bought one.

you've all got it wrong...this is

Anyway, the OP couldn't POSSIBLY buy that.... it appears to come with an ashtray and fag lighter as standard! ;-)

Love your logic HM, there may be something to interest you here :)

I like the look of the Merc in the background in the Showroom actually Westpig.
E-types never did it for me, don't know why.

Methinks that paul2007 is either on some sort of mission to wind everyone up with his latest posts, or we have missed the sarcasm of this latest post.
Is this the most beautiful car in the world? No - its probably the ugliest car ever!
It makes an Audi Q8 look pretty.
|
Its even provoked Westpig into posting the longest link I've ever seen on this site!
|
not quite as long as the bonnet of the e-type tho

Yes...i've reported myself...and am currently hanging my head in shame...trouble is i'm not overly IT literate.......I do apologise to whichever mod is on duty tonight
EDIT
Thankyou PU

Paul, it's a big fat Jeepy thing that looks like a BMW X6 but smaller, with a posh-proletarian name like Cadillac or Lincoln.
The most beautiful car in the world is it?
Listen man, you've already blotted your copybook with that barmy smoking crap. Don't reveal yourself as an aesthetic cretin too, I beg. Or, since you already have, don't rub it in. It won't make anyone love you except the sort of people you'd be better off without.
:o}
By the way chaps, the XJS has a sort of louche yuppy charm, but it isn't beautiful either, not really.

Let's leave Paul to his giant bucket of chicken and 40oz cola as his taste buds are obviously in that direction ... :-)

Similar pose but perhaps just a little shinier and more dynamic ?
Motoring pornography!
|
It's a very pretty car Lygonos - it's Myleene Klass. But for me to fall in love with it, it needs to have flaws too, like my wife for example - who is just about perfect but doesn't speak English very well. Or like the red-haired lass in Girls Aloud.
So it's still the XJS for me.

Lygonos,
Indeed, a trly inspiring creation, with just one problem - how do you fix a front number plate without destroying the looks?
BIG
|
|
Heh heh Lygonos... that's one of my two candidates among the modern stuff. The other is the earliest, most unadorned current-shape (more or less) Maserati coupe.
Of course if we go far back in time the field broadens.

ooooooooh
i do love that Lygonos

Simple answer to the original question is no ! Not even close! Certainly would never be on my list, even as a present!
Lots of much better examples offered; still unable to choose my favourite, but Jag or even Aston examples have to be top contenders!
Style is so personal I know, but a tractor as most beautiful ?

Just a few, none are *the* most beautiful - but all have at least some beautiful aspect to them:

I am a sucker for the 60s/70s/80s designs, but there you go.

How do I make a smiley with it's eyes rolling ?
:-)
|
Same with me - Maserati closely followed by the very real world BMW E39 - one of one of the prettiest mass production cars as well as the most dynamically appealing.
|
real world BMW E39
I did see a quite nice 6 series about a year ago. Somehow the funny can't-remember-the-fellow's-name-although-it's-on-the-tip-of-my-tongue rear spoiler didn't, er, spoil it.

Ask bell boy. He sent a nose-picking sun to Rattolo yesterday or so.
