Six years. My second car, a Sierra was bought in 1993. I ran it for 3 yrs, then bought myself a mk2 Cavalier SRi. The Sierra sat doing nothing for the next year or so, then SWMBO took it on, and ran it for another 2 years. Sold it to a mate in 1999 for £150 less than I'd paid for it six years (and 80,000 miles) previously! Cheap motoring! :-)

1999 is when I bought mine,for £30,I do not think I have kept anything for more than a year or so before
