95 1.8 resetting Service indicator light - Harry Pearce
Hello,

Does anyone know how to set the SI lights after a service. I dont have the special tool and was hoping there is another way of doing it. Also does anyone know if there is a service pack i can buy for inpection 1 like you can for a land rover ie plugs oil filter etc

The SI lights can be re-set by earthing pin 7 of the diagnostic socket in the engine bay.This will take it through the sequence to max green lights.You may need to do it twice to re-set the time counter.(clock symbol).Sevice kits are available from bmw,but it is possible to buy top quality parts from places like GSF car parts etc.The alarm system is probably an add on and not Bmw o/e.Are there any id makes or names on the fob?hth

Hi the alarm is a BMW add on I take it u read my other post on this site re it going off by itself after arming it
