The cars ecu should log what has set the alarm off. Easiest thing (although not cheap) is to have it plugged into a Tech2 code reader to have the fault codes extracted.
btw, changed the year in the subject header for you from a forum search of previous postings. DD

As you've already narrowed it down to an internal sensor then I'd try :-
Make sure the seat belts are fully retracted before locking the car
Do a visual check of the sensors in case a spider or similar is making a home in there.
Make sure the air vents are shut to stop warm air currents potenntially setting off the alarm -OK 10,000:1 shot under current weather conditions.

for them to read the history as to what has been setting it of they will need the security code but if it has a fault it should be obvious as it should have a fault code,Regards TB

Another thought. Is this an estate car?
A common fault is the glass break wire for the rear windows can fail and keep setting the alarm off. Most people this has happened to over on Vectra-c.com just pull the relevant fuse in the boot fuse box to disable the glass break sensor or short the wires together if the car is no longer under warranty.
