And Suzuki will then use some of the money to take a piece of VAG.

Seems VW are eyeing the small car technology of Suzuki.
Suzuki were in the past linked to GM - maybe this marriage will last longer and produce results.

There's been talk for quite a while of Suzuki having to be bought by another player, they are very successful in India and good at controlling costs. VW also have an interest in Proton. They are going to expand into quite a few markets in the next few years, the USA will be getting a car specifically made for them and a pickup truck is appear soon.
Not sure how well they will expand however, in the US the price and poor quality put people off, China is good for them but they'll be coming under presure. Hyundai is still the one to watch, Toyota are most worried by them and not VW.
|
Interesting that VW and Suzuki have been rated as the bottom two by JD Power for cars over three years old according to a piece in USA Today.
|
They might be bottom of that list, but aren't VW one of the most successful car manufacturers ?
|
Yep, the report talks about both their plans for world domination and falling reputation in the US.
