I have a 1998 xantia 1.9td hatch, it has developed an excessive fluid leak from the drivers rear sphere, it appears to be coming from the base of the sphere.. could this be a broken seal?? if so can they be replaced? cheers,

It will need replacing with a new one and best to replace all of the fluid if still original.

Could be that the sphere is loose, try screwing it in, if its tight, yes, it will be the seal.
