I'd have one, not for the laptop but for the MacDonalds drive-thru. I never have space to lay out everything properly or anywhere to squirt the ketchup for dipping. I think even a meal on the go should be eaten properly, with knife and fork, side plate for bread, serviettes etc.

My dad had a car ( might have been the Wolseley ) which had a fold down wooden veneered tray thing which held whisky tumblers and a small decanter in case a mid journey snifter was urgently required. He wouldn't have liked MacDonalds.
