Steam car speed record - on BBC2 7pm 18/11 - commerdriver
In case anyone is interested BBC2 has a documentary on the steam car speed record this evening at 7.

Is this the new car that somebody-or-other was having a go with, to crack a *very* old record? If so, what was the result (as it's a documentary, I guess the result is known...)?

Aha. I've looked it up, and I must say that I'm quite unimpressed.

It's a flippin' huge thing that broke a 100-year-old record, by adding a paltry 20+MPH to it.
