The heater on our Micra has been playing up recently.
We've fitted a new thermostat, flushed through the heater rad (which is getting nice and hot) and the fan motor is whirring away quite happily.
Unfortunately there is no air being blown through the vents.
Any help/advice would be much appreciated, thanks.

Not familier with this car but some basics. Does it have a pollen filter, if so is it blocked? Are the heater controls mechanical? if so you could have a broken/disconnected cable, if electronic a faulty servo motor.

Fan motor running but has fan come off spindle?? Another basic!

Many thanks for your replies.
Peter.N. - As far as I'm aware, this model doesn't have a pollen filter and all controls are mechanical. They 'appear' to be operating correctly.
jc2 - Yes, the fan is on the spindle.
When the heater control is switched to 'circulate air within the car' mode there is a howling gale blowing behind the glovebox but nothing coming through the vents. I can't see anything that's come loose.
Any ideas?

It is possible that the connector plug to the fan motor has been fitted incorrectly/reversed,so in fact the motor is sucking air out of the car rather than blowing air into the cabin.Just a thought.hth
