Has anyone ever taken apart a compressor for a ZX horn found on Volcane and top range models. My horn isn't working and, the compressor was making weird noises. I think the plastic vanes in the compressor have worn out, looking at them but I don't know what is normal. Now I know that this is academic because there are no repair packs and repair is replacement but I'm still interested!!
Thanks,
Humpy

Humpy, is your name to be taken literally? Are you claiming a high ranking in the Backroom road rage stakes? ;-)

Hee, hee! Sorry, reading back my post I suppose it's rather funny. To be honest I've had the car 18mths and 50000m,mostky on the motorway and I've hardly used the horn. It has passed the MOT once since I've had it but the other day I found it very hard to rouse some bird at the lights who was obviously colour blind or asleep. the only noise was what sounded like a wet fart as the horn feebly tried to react to my furious button pushing.
Humpy is short for Humphrey. Just a nickname from school, less of a mouthful and slightly amusing to boot!
