Good advert to be honest.
Some of those scenarios remind me of near misses that I had in my Motorcycloing days 5 years ago. I was lucky but Iv known others who have nearly lost their lives from spilt diesel etc. It makes you realise that there are more potential death traps out there than you think.

to be honest if you dont do all the things and all the thinking that the advert shows ,should you really riding a bike?
its all common sense

Yup. Common sense is commonly not used though?
Bike safety advert - bell boy
tough then isnt it
common sense is something you have by instinct
if you havent got common sense you shouldt be riding a bike
but if you havent got common sense, you wont realise you shouldnt be on a bike anyway

Agree with the above ^^^

Only one that might catch you out which they don't show is diesel on a roundabout...

yes gmac that got me in 1974
it took my skin off to the bone on my lightweight racer

Saw an old truck turning right from the Embankment onto one of the Thames bridges quite a few years ago. What looked like literally gallons of diesel spilt out of the side tank, obviously too full, in an arc onto the road all the way through the turn.

You wouldn't have wanted to be a biker going the same way for 24 hours at least.

Would certainly make the bike a little more lightweight. Ouch !!!
Hope I never have to go the same way though M3's round the Nürburgring seem to have a deathwish.
NOTE: Not that M3's throw out diesel but they have something against two wheels...

I was expecting to see something to do with cyclists wearing a safety helmet. When did "bike" cease to be used to mean bicycle and start to be used to mean motorcycle?
Bike safety advert - Hamsafar
Contrary to the youtube comments...It is on TV frequently, but as part of the motorcycling coverage, rather than in advert breaks between ordinary programming.

I've seen it quite a few times, although not recently, and I don't watch motorcycling coverage; might have been last year. Sometimes these things are regional.

I thought it was EXCELLENT. Friends of mine though have been known to have Pheasants as scarves from time to time and the most suicidal Deer appear through hedges here in Devon at the most inconvenient times!

Some time ago. "Bike" magazine has been around since the early 1970s

One of the best bits of bike is the Ogri cartoon
