Hi, the ABS warning light came on, on my W reg focus Ghia saloon. Shortly after the rear wheel baring collapsed. Now the wheel baring has been fixed and the ABS light is still on (Yes I have re-set the ECU). Also the brake light comes on intermittently.

I took the car to a garage and they said that the problem was coming form the rear nearside wheel and that it was was probably a knackered ABS sensor. But they also said that as it has disc brakes on the back it was impossible to just replace an ABS sensor and it would need an entire new hub...Is this correct??

Also is it likely to be an ABS sensor problem? (i'm not so sure because the brake warning light is on as-wel)

hi i had the same problem after the n/s rear bearing clapsed asked fords and the words was "its a new hub mate as they dont do the seal" but they do doit as i got one from them

Did yours have disks on the rear or drums?
