Is there any plan to launch a mobile version of the site? Current version is difficult to view from mobile.
Quite a few other forums are opening mobile version.

Which browser do you use? Opera Mini works fine for me.

|
My Nokia N85 works fine too, although I tend to just lurk rather than post on my mobile.

i can get here on my ipod, just using safari.

Now posting from an iPod. No probs!
|
Posting from a nokia n95 thru house wi fi. Takes a bit of time to load due i assume to the graphics and photos on the web site.
Also have to move the screen a wee bit to get it central but once it is then all the text appears within the screen.
Wonder if when hj set up this site he foresaw that one day there would be posts about this on it!
|
I also use Opera mobile from my Nokia 6300.
The site (this site - not tailor made for mobile) opens, but I have to scroll left right up down a lot.
|
|
Used it on my Blackberry my iPOD - cumbersome but usable.

With a browser on a phone or music player like the iPod Touch, this website is useable.
To make it more friendly to small devices like phones you'd need to get rid of the adverts. That's not going to happen for fairly obvious reasons.
In landscape mode, the iPod touch is fairly useable to be honest. You just need to do some zooming.
|
In mobile version obviously most adverts have to go but it is still possible to feature 1-2 ads in tiny screen.
If you look at most news sites, they managed to do it.

I use it on my Blackberry but I have to increase the font size so much these days that it becomes a chore. Probably a good thing really. Spend too much time browsing and not enough working........

Humph, edited it to put the words font size back in. They're in the sweat filter to stop people changing the font size of posts.
