93 2.5 Clutch pedal suddenly loose? - Saints best kept secret
Hi all,

Any advice greatly appreciated. I have an 'L' reg (93?) BMW 525 petrol. It has been superb until a few days ago when all of a sudden the clutch pedal hasbecome very loose and has no resistance until almost the bottom of its travel?

This has meant that the bite is just off the floor?

I have found the fluid reservoir for the clutch to be empty so I have topped this up and "pumped" the clutch few times but it is still soft.

Is there a bleed nipple or anything like that I should be using or is there any other advice on this issue?

The clutch is not, and has not been slipping at all and there is still no evidence of it slipping.

It sounds as though the slave cylinder has blown. They are not too expensive from Eurocarparts.
