The seller of the Rover 25 part I found on a certain online auction site insists that potential buyers should check the part number of the item concerned before purchasing. Reasonable point to make, I guess; but my question is, where can I find used Rover parts numbers in order to carry out that check, given that no Rover main dealers any longer exist? Used parts sellers seem to deal only in descriptions; I guess parts numbers are primarily for new stuff.
Cheers in advance to anyone who can give me a clue. :0)

You could try putting the part number into google and see what comes up.

Done that, Dave--the only thing that comes up ( and even that doesnt come up every time) is the advert on the auction site.
I really dont know what else to try, so unless we take a chance on the description being accurate and it being the right part, we'll have to keep looking. :0(

What part are you after? There may be an alternative supplier other than from a Rover dealer.hth
