My 2001 406 2.0 petrol model has suddenly developed a minor flood in the front passenger footwell. This appears to be rainwater rather than any engine fluid as it is odourless, colourless and reasonably clean. There is no sign of leakage from above, the headliner is dry and the courtesy light holder hasn't filled with water (as I once experienced). My thought is that a drain may be blocked but pouring water down the gutters seems to suggest that water is getting through the drains. Has anyone experienced this kind of problem?

Total guess, but as the pollen filter is on the passenger side in the engine bay, that's the first place I'd look to see if the cover is on properly.

Either that or the scuttle drain is blocked up with old leaves.
