00 2.5 wipers - banter
hello, rear wiper works on screen wash but only when it wants when on steady, more off than on. could anyone tell me if there is a test to tell if its the motor or the switch thanks john

if you are talking about the delay in the wipe on "wipe" only mode.

It could be the Relay, that controls this

If you are talking about the fact that only sometimes it "wipes" when you select "wipe" as apposed to "Wipe/wash" then the switch, or associated connecters maybe at fault.


Unfortunatly thats about all the advise I can give you, im sure someone with more knowledge may help, but thats what I would check for 1st.

Good place to start would be the relay the controls the wiper. You'll need a diagram from a manual (or maybe online) to find which one it is. Check that it is in securely, if it is, you may need a new one.
If it was the switch, it might come on erratically when wiggled. When a motor is on the way out normally judders badly then packs in completely.
Sounds like a relay.
