Would anyone by any chance know if an electric supercharger with an air filter and induction piping will enhance the performance of my Pug 206 2001 2.0HDI (Turbo Diesel) after I've already had it remapped from 90bhp to 120bhp? Thanks for your help.

Do you mean "no" as in "I don't know" or as in "no it won't make any difference?"
|
How much did your insurance go up for the 30 bhp re-map and how much more would it go up for a supercharger added?

The easiest, cheapest and most reliable way to get more power from your car is to sell it and buy something faster to begin with in my opinion.

This does not make sense,it already has a turbo, you can't have both.

You you mean one of those 'joke' superchargers? They are a joke, not real!

Have you been watching the recent re-run of the Mad Max films by any chance? !!

Thanks for your help everyone. Since an electric supercharger won't work. Does anyone know any other way of safely increasing performance greatly? Thanks.

You could try having the catalytic converter hollowed out. The remap/chip you have done is the all you can do, after that you are into the realms of different injectors, camshafts etc.. and then would need another remap/chip to take advantage of them.

You say that the engine was originally 90BHP.
As far as I know these were not fitted with an intercooler.
So the only way forward, apart from as someone else stated, changing the car, would be to add an intercooler with associated pipes which should boost power by 10 - 20%.

Aside from the OP?s original question, my understanding from other threads on this forum is that the reason the smaller Pugs were not available with the 2 litre 110, was lack of space for the intercooler?

Don't know, but PSA thought it necessary to fit the 110 HDI engine with: Intercooler, variable vane turbo, uprated gearbox, uprated drive shafts, uprated brakes - at least. I think getting 140-150 horses out of what started out life as 90 BHP version with a few software tweaks is a bit of a pipe dream.....although 130-140 is reportedly possible out of the 110 version with a decent re-map.
If you wanna go that much faster, buy something witha bigger engine!
