I am pleased to say bull bars seem to have disappeared much quicker than I expected in the my urban area, except for on the odd ancient 4 X 4.

Can't see how the bull bar made much difference - it looks like the bonnet and front crumple zone took the brunt... but it least it will give those 4x4 lovers another excuse to buy one... ;)

What's really funny is those customised Suzuki Vitaras with wide tyres that would make them useless off-road and with chrome bull-bars. Presmably the owners of such vehicles just worry that their bull-bar get scratched now instead of the bumper!
