hi can anyone help me i need the timing set up and marks for a peugeot 306 1.4 petrol engine. regards Mick.

I hope you don't have the same problems that I had with my 306 HDi. The replacement of the belt was tedious, but then the fun started: they coudln't get the engine going again afterwards :-( It took the garage five days before I got the car back, during which time they tried various timing sensors.

Interestingly, the engine ran incredibly smoothly for about 1000 miles after that - much more smoothly and quietly than it has ever did before or since!

1.4 is supposed to be comparatively easy to do a timing belt on. There's lots of room in there for a start.
