87 1.9 Will a VTS engine go into a 205 GTi? - lee123
does any body no if my saxo vts engine will go into my 205 gti if so what parts will i need to renew will i need parts specially made such as gearbox mounts and engine mounts ect.

Struggling to see why you'd go to all this trouble for a less powerful and far less torquey engine than the Pug already has.

If you're gonna go to these lengths, try a 16v XU9 (of you can find one) which is a well documented conversion and will make your car go like something off a very well oiled shovel. Similar weight to your existing engine too.

like you say finding one, but a vts engine is newer and ull notice a saxo vts will destroy a 205 gti any day ive just got a engine here thas all.. unless you can help me with my over fueling faults... spark is fine, it wont start unless i press the throttle a bit then itll start but it misifres hugely then just stalls, after 20 seconds of doing this i took the plugs out and they were soaked in petrol
