Alfa Romeo 156 (1998 - 2005) - 01 2.0 head bolt torque values ?

01 2.0 head bolt torque values ? - steveo3002
a mate has a alfa 156 2.0ts selecaspeed with a failed head gasket

hes found some date for the head bolts saying 2.0 , 4.0 + 90 DEGS +90 DEGS + 90 DEGS , now we understand the 90 deg bit but what does the 2.0 and 4.0 mean? no mention of ft lbs or such

anyone able to help?

and 40 newton metres

is it the proper way then to write 20nm as 2.0 ? never seen it like that myself

They'll be kilogramme metres, and, being 9.81 or so Newtons per Kilogramme, multiplying by ten is near enough.
