No Ariel Atom in CBC - yeoman
Thought I'd see what HJ has to say about these cars - which I believe are road legal - but strangely they don't appear in the CBC breakdown. Little mention of the company or the Atom in the forums either. Looking at the Ariel website, seems company has links, via some well respected cars and motorbikes, back to the Penny farthing of 1870.

Definitely road legal and well respected by the likes of 'Evo' and 'Car'mags. Honda 2 litre powered (in different states of tune). 300hp, 0-60 in 3.3 secs and weighing in at 550 kg. There, you can tell what my bogside reading consists of. It's the only place to get some peace. On his own admission HJ is possibly rather, er, 'mature' for one of these and his hat wouldn't stay on.

A couple of friends own them. My Boxster is getting replaced when I next find a decent contract and I chatted with one of them about possible replacements. I'd narrowed the choice down to an Atom, a Radical in road legal state or a Caterham R500.

Now this mate owns a Ferrari as well as a few other cars and he stated that once you've driven an Atom nothing else will do. All I need now is to find some more work and I'll post a decent review of what owning one is like.

What's your poison? Some good roads in East Herts/North Essex, I'll take you round...

It's a seductive little thing spikeyhead. I do hope you get one.

Very stark though, really a jewel-like two-seater gokart with proper suspension. I've seen a couple on the road now and you would get all sorts of debris all over you driving one. I bet the thing's ability is intoxicating though. Like beiong a dragonfly...
