Hi Guys,
My 406 estate passenger front window has stopped working. Neither of the switches (drivers and passengers) makes a difference. I thought it might be just stuck in the channel possibly due to lack of use but to no avail. All the others work fine. Is there a common fault I could look for prior to taking door pad etc off. Is it fused separately?
As always any advice and guidance is greatly appreciated.

My passenger fw got stuck down. Managed to carefully grip top using padding with molegrips and pulled hard while pressing switch and it freed itself. Sorry no idea if it has stuck while closed.

Update on my previous....... I've checked the plugs on the switch assembly in the door pad and they are fine. Also checked the switch plug on the passenger door and all fine. I suspect a window motor. Anyone know if there is a relay anywhere that may cause a problem? Is the window lift motor a simple pos/neg for down and swop wires around for up? If so, testing the motor will be straightforward. Anyone know of any known problems before I take door pads off.

Unless you have 'one touch' operation the motor should be straightforward. Check for voltage on the motor when the switch is operated, you could quite likely have a corroded connection - water gets into the doors!

same problem here, 1999 v reg 406 2.0l hdi, front passenger window inop, fuse box layout not same as in manual, any suggestions where the passenger window fuse is???
