98 2.0 Small breather from rocker cover - skreech
Just a qiuck question this time. I have taken off the small breather hose to check it from the top of the rocker cover. It is the one that also goes to the throttle body. The hose its self is clear and i can blow through it. When it is connected to the throttle body and the engine is running there is no suction on it at the rocker end, even under high revs. I have tried to blow though it but it seems to be blocked. Just wondered if it was ment to be like that, or if it has a blockage some where. thanks for any replies,
cheers.

it should be sucking it will be blocked at the throttlebody "Do Not" drill out to a larger size to stop it from getting blocked again i use a piece of welding rod sharpened to a very fine point and use plenty of wd 40 to soften the crud thats in there,Regards TB

ta for that. there was a blockage in there. used a needle and a pair of pliers to force it through, and some wd40. i have noticed now that there is a prob with the vacuum to the fuel press reg. all the holes in the tb and the pipes are clear but there is no suction. any ideas.

thanks. i have just found out from vauxhall that there is only vacuum when the car is actually running on the road. They also are suspecting a blocked Kat. there is pressure at the exhaust when idling but it dissapears when the car is reved. does this sound right.
thanks.
