Saw an advert where Saab are selling the Linear convertible for £18,995 brand new. They say this is over £7k off list price.
What does this do to the values of the used convertibles on Saab forecourts?

It depends easy they are to get, if there is just two for sale at this price it won't really do anything. At one point this last you could get a virtualy new Vectra for £6k dosn't seem to have affected used values as supply was so limited.

decimates them in my opinion

Saw that advert on TV - states in small print that they are 08 Models. So I assume although unregistered, they will be "last year's model" being cleared out.

And they are poverty spec.

The Linear is the case model I think.
I had a Saab 93SS not long after they came out. Couldn't wait to get rid. Poorly built problematic cars, which never had the residual values that the motoring magazines said they would (which is largely why I bought mine).
In short, they are cheap for a reson.

I had a flyer through the post from a main dealer offering the car for £17.995. MY 09.
Too late as I had got rid of the 05 plate Saab hard top and replaced with an A3. The final payment on the PCP was more than dealers were selling the car for so I can vouch for the depreciation. I liked the car, but the build quality of the A3 is far superior.

I was going to get one, but saw a solid black with red roof Audi A4 2.0 T FSI at 18.5 K
07 plate with 1 year extra warranty (2 in total) last monday. so snapped it up.
the quality between the Audi & Saab, is lightyears apart.
the Audi is 2 yrs old with 15K on clock.
it is near silent even on motorway at 70mph.
quality motor, even though the saab is a beautiful looking motor, the Audi wins for reliability and dealer is 2 miles away.

Advertised elsewhere on this site, Pentagon are advertising brand new Saab 9-3 diesel convertible's for £18,695 (1.9 TiD 150 Linear SE 2dr Auto) in a choice of colours.
Apparently a saving of nearly £9k!
