New Mazda MX5 1994 - Gabe
I just bought a gorgeous MX5 - 58,000 miles and a Eunos model. The garage provides a 3 month warranty and I'm due for a full (unpaid) service next week. As I'm only eligible for a 3 month warranty, should I book an appointment with the AA for a thorough check-over so that I can provide the garage with a thorough shopping list of what requires fixing? Failing that, maybe take it to a Mazda dealer? What are your thoughts on the matter?

Depending where you are, there are many independent MX5 specialists around the country who know the older MX5s much better than any main dealer or AA / RAC and will probably be cheaper to use.

Ref the other thread about imports, I don't think there are any problems these days with obtaining parts for them.

Try going on the MX5 Owners Club site where I think there is a list of the specialists and parts suppiers. There is always a lot of help on their forums for any advice you may need.

i can only add if the supplying trader/dealer isnt set up for repairing faults on his own premises but has given you his own warranty that means something, then why not pay $55 for a full safety check by your local friendly mot man
