You wonder why LHD cars were in the UK, if they were to be exported?

I understand that at the current ?:£ rate the UK is now one of the cheapest places in Europe to buy a new car. Perhaps all those brokers that used to sell 'imported' cars in the UK are now exporting UK cars to Europe?

Odd story that, but we've all got to take care in these darkening times, trucks can be a soft target.
To me several things don't add up, but speculation isn't going to be helpul at this stage if there is an investigation.

Excuse the ignorance but what do you do with an unregistered car?
Is it a case of cloning once you find an existing registered Q5, or stripping for parts (once someone wants any) or exporting to a dodgy foreign country?
