i need some stainless self tappers to finish a engine bay tart up
looking for no14 x13mm self tappers with a hex head in stainless steel
anyone know a supplier that does small orders via mail order?

I bought a load of self tappers, screws, bolts and so on from a boatyard years ago. Watch out for corrosion caused by different metals though, it`s not always a good idea to use stainless. (can`t remember the detail ;-)

Try this place:
Alfast engineering in Luton, you should be able to find them in the yellow pages as I can't see them having a website. All they sell is fasteners and fixings and have all sorts.

I?ve had excellent service from Stagonset (www.stagonset.co.uk ). They do a range of self-tappers both pan head and c/sunk, as well as many others. I replaced many of the screws on my motorbike with their Allen headed screws. They have NO minimum order and the service is almost next day.

yeah stagonset are very good...i got alot from them , no hex head no 14 though

Nobody has yet mentioned Screwfix. Might they help - they have a website, I think.

Oh oh, I just re-read the first post, you mean self tappers but with an allen key head? I don't think they even exist, no wonder you can't find them!

no just a hex head like a bolt
allen head is called cap head

Oh, SS hex head self tappers don't exist either, thats why you can't find them.

yeah they do exist a supplier told me theyre avail in germany if i wanted to order 1000s at a time
i just need a handfull though ...i think the language barrier will stop me sourcing any overseas
