00 1.6 starting problem- poor acceleration. - john13_bd

Hi all,

Just found this forum.

We are having some problem with our RENAULT MEGANE SCENIC RX4 SPORT for last 1 month.

Firstly it doesn't start straight away. It takes few minutes to start. In the morning it worst. Sometimes after few minutes driving the engine goes off and you need to start again.

In the motor way it takes ages to reach 70mph. If there are a little slope in the motor way the speed goes down regardless how hard you are pressing the accelerator.

Although I am not very good with cars but I am guessing it is something with fuel supply.

Is there anyone who has experienced the same?

I would really appreciate any advice.
