I cannot believe what I have just watched!

You beat me to it.
I guess whether you like it or not depends on your age. I'm over 16 and have left school so I thought it rubbish!
Come back Clarkson!

IIf we have to have Brewster could we have sub-titles - he is incomprehensible. Maybe were best off without - it is such drivel!

Oh good, now I feel at bit better having opened the TV guide a little earlier and realising I'd missed it...

Blowpipe,
You mean you actually missed the Sumo where cars with nappies on push each other out of a circle - I am not joking. Never mind the winner competes again next week.
Other highlights were a sing along with your car stereo and the famous Alex(of Big Brother fame) with an Austin Ambassador - also on next week.
Sadly you will miss the Audi 90 pulling a guy on a surf board(although they didn't call it that)
All this with Mike Brewer's glottal tones.
Compelling viewing - a sort of down market 'It's a Knockout'

So what was it about? I didn't realise it was on. Bummed I missed it even if it was awful.

I only watch the programme because I fancy Penny ....

This prog was about the same as a media studies student DIY effort with home video gear.
Geting those Focus/Mini girls to give 30 sec on their own vehicle was painful to watch.
Shame.

Well, me too but it was pretty heavy going this week and I had a special interest with the MINI slot.
The revving engines were a pain, but the constant background music really started to annoy me. Maybe it was a one off mickey-taking show but I have a horrible feeling it isn't.
And that Sumo was a waste of time, if I wanted to watch that kind of nonsense I'd press the '5' button on my TV remote.
Bring back the Jelly!
Lee.
I'm flogging my car! See HJ classifieds....

No it wasn't up to much was it? The old style was far better.

I sat and watched this absolutely stunned. The last series was well made and informative. This series..........I'm lost for words.
|
... and can someone please explain why the Mini and Focus engines were being revved to death in the background whenever Penny was standing near them doing her bit to camera? Really irritating.

It's what blokes who don't know anything about cars do to pretend they know about cars . . .
They've gone one step below lowest common denominator now - even Penny won't be enough to make me watch that toilet again.

It's trendy television at its finest, there are plenty of other programmes, sorry, programs, made in a similar manner, so it must be OK. I can't see what the problem is .....;-)

Didn't know it was back on. Not very well advertised was it? Doesn't look like theres a mid week repeat of the show either.
|
BBC World inflicts it on us as well. Once it was the BBC were the standard for any sort of documentary, now Animal Planet is streets ahead...

It was frightful, wasn't it? I saw all of it only because I was numb with shock! I seem to remember that we had a contribution here from Mike Brewer a while ago - where is he now...?

Thank you Mark. The following bit might come back to haunt him: "..if you don?t like anything on the show then tell me"!
