Peugeot Boxer (2000 - 2007) - 01 2.8t hdi smoking for 2 - 3 miles

01 2.8t hdi smoking for 2 - 3 miles - messa
peugeot boxer van 2.8 hdi 2001,smokes for about 2-3 miles then it goes away is it a major issue can any one help....

hi its a bluey grey colour any thing major you somtimes get a smell of unburnt diesel.........

Blue/grey suggests oil, unburnt fuel is usually whitish, also if fuel it would run unevenly. Could be oil running down the valve guides and accumulating in the cylinders. I wouldn't worry about it if there are no other symptoms.

ok thanks peter,it does run uneavenly like its missin but wen you get above 3500 revs it seems to get better sorts it self out and runs ok.........
