Anybody any know the rough cost of leather seat repairs? Just the drivers seat on the edges of the actual seat not the backrest.

Depends on the damage, I guess... try a member of the Assoc. of Master Upholsterers - if you can do any work such as removing the seat, it will cheapen the bill.

Some "smart" repairers can do it. Worth checking.

Is it abrasion wear or a cut ? If the latter, it could reasonably easy to effect a self repair. If you can slide a pre-glued patch in underneath the cut with a bit of overlap to stick to the underside of the leather then press down to get a bond. Almost anything stickable will do the trick provided it has some substance but also some give. Bit of denim or something would be my choice. Don't use a "superglue" type adhesive though. They dry too hard and become sort of crispy. If you go into any DIY shop they will have a suitable adhesive.
